Program Description: The 10,000 Push-Ups Fund was created by Meagan Ward who had the vision to raise money to remove financial barriers so more students in the community can experience the benefits of extracurricular activities.
Why? Extracurricular activities provide opportunities for personal growth, leadership, learning how to deal with people, being on a team, learning what we are truly capable of and breaking new ground! For some students, being a part of that something extra is the only thing that keeps them engaged in school while also connecting them with those unique learning and development opportunities. We want to make sure that any student that wants to be a part of something won’t be left out because of lack of resources.
How to access Funds? In partnership with Grants Pass School District #7, the Redwood Foundation for Education will make funds available to middle and high school students through waiver processes already in place at the District. If you are a family or student experiencing financial barriers to participate in extracurricular sports and activities, please contact your school!
Impact: Check back for updates about how these funds have impacted students in our community!
