Zachariah is a 2021 graduate of Grants Pass High School and finished his degree at RCC in 2023. His goal is to become a local firefighter full time while he continues his education in paramedicine. He was inspired by his firefighter brother to pursue this career, and reflected, “I also have a desire to serve others in any way that I can, and I can’t think of any better way.”

Zachariah excelled at GPHS, driven by a strong work ethic. His advice to other students is to “work as hard as you can because even when you don’t think that it matters, you’ll be surprised as to how much it really does.”

Local scholarships have had a significant impact on Zachariah. “The scholarships I received made the difference that allowed me to pursue the career of my dreams. Without them, I never would have been able to go on to become a Firefighter”.

The scholarships I received made the difference that allowed me to pursue the career of my dreams. Without them, I never would have been able to go on to become a Paramedic and/or Firefighter.
