333. Kerm Bennett Memorial Scholarship – Additional Letter of Recommendation Required
- Award: $500
- Eligibility: Graduating senior from Grants Pass High School
- Selection Criteria: Applicants for this scholarship are to be of high character, admirable study habits, commendable work ethic, have involvement in athletics, and plan to pursue further higher education in teaching and coaching.
- Other Requirements: At least one recommendation should come from a coach.
- Use of Funds: May be used at any accredited two- or four-year colleges. Scholarship checks are mailed directly to the recipients’ post-secondary education program. Scholarship funds may also be used to reimburse students for required books and school supplies with advanced approval.
- About the Scholarship: This endowed memorial scholarship was established by family and friends in 2010 to honor the memory of Kerm Bennett who was a teacher, coach and administrator for many years at GPHS. Mr. Bennett’s last position was as superintendent of Grants Pass School District 7.
