340. Chinese Heritage Scholarship – Additional Essay Required
- Award: $300
- Eligibility: Graduating seniors in Josephine County
- Selection Criteria: Write a required typed essay of 300 words or less addressing the following question: Describe an experience or circumstance in which ethnic diversity had a meaningful impact on you.
- Use of Funds: May be used at any accredited two- or four-year colleges, trade or technical schools, or for training in a federally accredited or state licensed or approved apprenticeship program. Scholarship checks are mailed directly to the recipients’ post-secondary education program. Scholarship funds may also be used to reimburse students for required books and school supplies with advanced approval.
- About the Scholarship: Established in January 1988 by Dr. Rosemary C. Lee Selinger to honor the contributions of Chinese pioneer families in Southern Oregon.
