336. Helen Betancourt Scholarship
- Award: Two $1,000 awards
- Eligibility: Graduating senior from Josephine County
- Selection Criteria: Applicants must be planning to attend a college, university or vocational school of their choice, demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Josephine County.
- Use of Funds: May be used at any accredited two- or four-year colleges, trade or technical schools, or for training in a federally accredited or state licensed or approved apprenticeship program. Scholarship checks are mailed directly to the recipients’ post-secondary education program. Scholarship funds may also be used to reimburse students for required books and school supplies with advanced approval.
- About this Scholarship: This is a student scholarship fund designated by the Grants Pass-based Four Way Community Foundation, from the Estate of Helen Betancourt who died in 1995. Grant administration is under the direction of the Redwood Foundation for Education.
