748. Charles Womer Scholarship
- Award: Multiple $3,000 awards, renewable up to four years ($12,000 total)
- Eligibility: Graduating senior from Josephine County, or a resident of Josephine County for at least 10 years.
- Selection Criteria: Minimum of 3.0 GPA, Financial need, household type, first generation, protected class, ability to overcome obstacles, character, compassion, desire to learn, and activities. Must be planning to attend RCC for at least the first year of college.
- Use of Funds: Must be used at RCC for the first year. Subsequent years may be used at any accredited two- or four-year colleges, trade or technical schools, or for training in a federally accredited or state licensed or approved apprenticeship program. Scholarship checks are mailed directly to the recipients’ post-secondary education program. Scholarship funds may also be used to reimburse students for required books and school supplies with advanced approval.
- Renewal Process: Submit an annual renewal request to Redwood and include a copy of your unofficial academic transcript. You must meet the following qualifications for your scholarship to be eligible for renewal. They are as follows:
Must be enrolled in at least 2/3 courseload per term/semester
Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better for vocational programs, and 3.0 or better for academic programs.
