The Southern Oregon Latino Scholarship Fund provides opportunities for Latino students living in the Southern Oregon region to complete their post high school career/degree goals. Our guiding principle is to build capacity and leadership in our region. Each year, the Southern Oregon Latino Scholarship Fund (SOLSF), with the help of generous community sponsors, awards multiple college scholarships to students of Latino heritage.
SOLSF was established in 2003 by local community leaders who knew financial obstacles were preventing many bright young minds from attending college. Over the last 21 years, SOLSF’s volunteer advisory committee members have reached out to you and other community members. Together we have raised over $757,500 and awarded 267 scholarships to remarkable Latino scholars from Jackson, Josephine and Klamath counties.
SOLSF Scholars have gone on to pursue careers in education, health care, and more, most of them staying or returning to the Rogue Valley workforce. Your gift helps not only an individual student, but their family and our entire community by supporting our future leaders and workforce.
