435. Grants Pass Rotary Club – Additional Essay Required
- Award: Up to three $2,000 awards
- Eligibility: Graduating seniors from Grants Pass, Hidden Valley, and North Valley High Schools
- Selection Criteria: Scholastic achievement, community service, school activities and work experience.
- Other Requirements: Include a personally written essay of approximately 500 words relating to Rotary’s Four-Way Test as it applies to the student’s life. The Four-Way Test of things we say and do is as follows: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
- Use of Funds: May be used at any accredited two- or four-year colleges, trade or technical schools, or for training in a federally accredited or state licensed or approved apprenticeship program. Scholarship checks are mailed directly to the recipients’ post-secondary education program. Scholarship funds may also be used to reimburse students for required books and school supplies with advanced approval.
