515. Rogue Valley Detachment #386 Marine Corps League Scholarship
- Award: One $500 Award
- Eligibility: Graduating seniors in Josephine County and Rogue River
- Selection Criteria: At least one parent, legal guardian or grandparent who is an active duty or honorably discharged veteran from any branch of the US military. Former Young Marine members from the Rogue Valley, Camp White or Southern Oregon Young Marine units are also eligible to apply. An applicant’s academic record, character, citizenship, leadership and financial need are all taken into consideration.
- Use of Funds: May be used at any accredited two- or four-year colleges – Student must be enrolled full-time. Scholarship checks are mailed directly to the recipients’ post-secondary education program. Scholarship funds may also be used to reimburse students for required books and school supplies with advanced approval.
