  • Award: Variable
  • Eligibility: Graduating senior from Grants Pass High School
  • Selection Criteria:  Strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity is a requirement. Demonstrated interest in science, especially directed towards caring for the earth and health of the world’s oceans would be a strong emphasis. Grades or need are not necessarily a criteria but may be taken into consideration.
  • Additional Criteria: Applicants required to write an essay (up to 500 words) explaining how they meet the criteria of the scholarship. The quality of the applicants’ essay is extremely critical to selection.
  • Use of Funds: Scholarship checks are mailed directly to the recipients’ college or university for payment of tuition and fees. Award may also be used for books and needed school supplies upon presentation of receipts to JCEF for reimbursement.
  • About the Scholarship: It is the desire of the donors, Krum and Marilyn Theodoroff to create a perpetual scholarship to honor the memory of their son. Kirk Theodoroff was a 1981 GPHS graduate who earned a BS degree in environmental science from OSU.
