920. GEAR UP Scholarship- Additional Essay Required
- Award: Two Awards, up to $2,500
- Eligibility: Graduating seniors from North Valley High School
- Selection Criteria: Applicant must demonstrate strong academic course load their senior year of no fewer than 5 classes. Applicants must plan to pursue post-secondary education at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, technical, or vocational school, and must have been accepted into their chosen school or program.
- Additional Criteria: Write a 250-word personal statement on the following: How has North Valley prepared you for the future and how have you left your mark on North Valley?
- Use of Funds: May be used at any accredited two- or four-year colleges, trade or technical schools, or for training in a federally accredited or state licensed or approved apprenticeship program. Scholarship checks are mailed directly to the recipients’ post-secondary education program. Scholarship funds may also be used to reimburse students for required books and school supplies with advanced approval.
